The function of RPS5. Homo sapiens

Gene expression in RPS5-depleted HCT116 cells after 48 h siRNA transfection and that of negative control. Total RNA was extracted from cells using an RNeasy Mini kit (Qiagen) and processed using a TruSeq Stranded mRNA sample prep kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA). Poly(A) RNA libraries were then constructed using a TruSeq Stranded mRNA library preparation kit (Illumina) and sequenced in 100-bp paired-end reads on an Illumina NovaSeq6000 platform. We observed that genes related to p53 downstream pathway were most upregulated in RPS5-depleted cells compared with negative control cells.
