Data from: Seasonal Alternation of Putative Camouflage Wing Morphs of the American Snout Butterfly (Libytheana carinenta)

We defined and recorded ventral hindwing morphs of the American Snout butterfly, Libytheana carinenta, over its North American range. Local surveys were made in southern Arizona. iNaturalist data were used to examine variation over time and space in the composition of morphs. Some data consist of field surveys of butterflies in our area. Some data consists of photograph records in iNaturalist for 2022 and the first half of 2023.我们针对北美分布范围内的美国喙蝶（American Snout butterfly，Libytheana carinenta）的后翅腹面形态型（ventral hindwing morphs）开展了定义与记录工作。我们在亚利桑那州南部开展了局部野外调查，并依托iNaturalist平台的数据，分析了形态型组成在时间与空间维度上的变异情况。本数据集包含两类内容：一部分为研究区域内的蝶类野外调查数据，另一部分为2022年及2023年上半年上传至iNaturalist平台的摄影记录。
