This dataset is developed by collecting the sales orders of the company from the Xiaobangbang CRM Trading Platform. First, sales orders are categorized by their respective provinces and cities to derive the monthly sales revenue for each city. Next, the variance of the 12-month sales amounts is calculated to evaluate the sales performance of each city, which facilitates the evaluation of production and sales strategies for all enterprises. Enterprises can leverage this dataset to obtain insights into the sales trends of water temperature sensors across different provinces and cities, thereby balancing the production and sales volumes of water temperature sensors. Step 1: Collect sales orders of the company via the Xiaobangbang CRM Trading Platform, and classify these orders by provinces and cities. The monthly sales amounts destined for different provinces and cities in each year are denoted as x₁, x₂, …, x₁₂ in sequence from January to December, and the total annual sales revenue x for each city is aggregated and calculated. Step 2: Compute the monthly average sales revenue x̄ for each city using the formula: x̄ = x / 12, where x is the total annual sales revenue of the city. Step 3: Calculate the variance s² of the monthly sales amounts for each city via the standard variance formula: s² = [(x₁ - x̄)² + (x₂ - x̄)² + (x₃ - x̄)² + … + (x₁₂ - x̄)²] / 12 Step 4: Classify each city into one of three sales performance tiers based on the computed variance s²: 1. Ultra-stable sales cities: when s² < 0.2; 2. Generally stable sales cities: when 0.2 ≤ s² ≤ 0.4; 3. Volatile sales cities: when s² > 0.4. Corresponding operational guidelines are provided for each tier: - For ultra-stable sales cities: Enterprises do not need to closely monitor the local market trends, and may maintain consistent production and sales volumes of water temperature sensors on a monthly basis. - For generally stable sales cities: Enterprises should monitor the local market trends quarterly and make appropriate adjustments to the production and sales volumes of water temperature sensors. - For volatile sales cities: Enterprises need to closely monitor the local market trends monthly, track changes in local sales conditions, and make substantial adjustments to the production and sales volumes of water temperature sensors accordingly.
