Urban waste generation by balance sheet number and disposal route 2022

This data set contains data on municipal waste generation in Schleswig-Holstein in 2022 in tonnes and kilograms per capita, grouped by type of waste according to the Waste Inventory Ordinance (AVV) and their assignment to the classification of the municipal waste balance sheet and the 15 districts and district-free cities. The data were made available to the State Office for the Environment (LfU) by the public waste management authorities (ÖRE) as part of the annual balance sheet obligation pursuant to Section 4(2) of the Land Waste Management Act (LAbfWG) and examined, evaluated and summarized by the LfU. A detailed look at the data for the current reporting year is expected to be available here as of January 2024: https://www.schleswig-holstein.de/DE/subject content/A/waste management/settlement waste balance sheet.html The amounts of waste are amounts of waste disposed of as part of their activities as public waste disposal agencies, i.e. as a rule, the waste comes from private households and comparable business and commercial enterprises or – according to the respective waste statutes – is subject to disposal obligations. Compared to the survey by the Statistical Office North and the Federal Statistical Office, there are deviations, as some waste keys and thus partial quantities are not taken into account there. ## Structure of the file The following columns are included in the files: - 'Year' - Year in which the waste was generated and collected or disposed of - 'Balance sheet number' - Number of the balance sheet group according to the nomenclature in the waste balance sheet of the Land Schleswig-Holstein - 'Balance sheet name' - Name of balance sheet number - 'Waste key area' - Description of the waste keys according to the Waste List Ordinance (AVV), which are assigned to this balance group. Attention: individual waste keys are assigned to two different balance groups. The distinction is made by the composition or type of collection of the waste. - 'Waste designation_AVV_EAK' - Waste designation according to the Waste List Ordinance AVV for the six-digit AVV key; if the name begins with an asterisk (*), it is a hazardous waste under the AVV - 'hazardous' - hazardous within the meaning of the Waste List Ordinance AVV, j for yes, n for no - 'Kreis_Name' - Name of the district or town from which the waste originates - 'circle_key' - two-digit circular key - 'Disposal route' - Disposal route, selection of five routes according to specifications - 'Quantity_in_t' - Waste mass in tonnes (t) with three decimal places - `kg_proEinw` - mass of waste in kilograms (kg) per capita with three decimal places - 'Source' - Data source - 'State of play' - State of play of the survey Separator is semicolon, character set Western European (Windows-1252/WinLatin 1).
