The dataset comprises ground motion data collected from 15 ground motion sensors deployed as part of the experimental EEW network implemented by the Crisis Response and Integrated Simulation Science Laboratory (CRISiSLAb) at Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand. The sensors were strategically placed in residential environments to mimic the conditions of a community-engaged EEW network. The dataset includes vertical ground motion recordings for 48 hours around the M5.8 Cook Strait earthquake.
