BlackJack Level 1B Bending Angle Climate Data Record Release 1 - CHAMP

The CHAMP Level 1 Bending Angle Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) Release 1 comprises reprocessed Level 1B Radio Occultation (RO) bending-angle data from GPS RO measurements onboard the CHAllenging Minisatellite Payload (CHAMP) covering the period 2001-2008. The software used to perform the reprocessing is EUMETSAT’s reference RO processor (Yaros 2.0), which uses a “wave optics” (fast phase transform) retrieval algorithm algorithm. The data record has global coverage and is available in Network Common Data Form 4 (netCDF4) as individual occultation files. This is a Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) produced for the Copernicus Climate Change Service.
