Full-length HIV-1 envelope sequences. Human immunodeficiency virus 1

We developed a protocol to generate single molecule, real time sequences of the complete HIV-1 envelope gene. Sequences here represent data derived from clonal isolates, used to examine the accuracy of the sequencing data; mixes of clonal isolates to investigate the extent of PCR recombination generated during sample preparation; and primary isolates, to demonstrate applicability for the study of viral evolution and immune escape over the course of infection in primary samples.
