ODP 1026 Circulation Obviation Retrofit Kit Deployed 2009-09-01

The CORK P (1026B) was deployed on 2009-09-01 at ODP 1026. ODP 1026 is a borehole site used to pinpoint an area within Cascadia. This device is a Circulation Obviation Retrofit Kit. Circulation Obviation Retrofit Kit (CORK) instruments seal the top of boreholes, to prevent circulation between the open hole and the ocean bottom water. CORKs monitor subseafloor hydrology by collecting in-situ pressure and temperature measurements from the formation deep below the seafloor. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
