About This Dataset This dataset is sourced directly from Dallas Animal Services’ (DAS) Chameleon Database, which is used to track shelter and field operations, animal inventory and movement, intake and outcome data, medical records, behavior observations, and microchip information. The dataset includes information from October 1, 2000, to the present date. Data may be corrected after publication if entry errors are identified or database fields are modified. As a result, minor variances may occur over time.
