FZ 12 - 2024 - Stock of passenger cars on 1 January of a year compared to 1 January of the previous year by segments and model series

In addition to the new registrations of vehicles, the registration authorities in Germany also notify the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) of the decommissioning of vehicles. These are stored in the Central Vehicle Register (ZFZR). All vehicles registered in Germany are registered in the ZFZR. Model series with at least 1,000 registered vehicles that have been newly registered since 1990 and have an evaluable VIN are shown. An exception is made for the RV segment. This segment also includes vehicles registered before 1990. Special notes are displayed in a note box at the end of the table. The reporting date is every 1 January of a year.
