Storymap showing areas that would be flooded in the event of a dam failure. The purpose is for people to be able to locate the City of Dallas dams nearest to their home or businesses. In the storymap you will find a description of each dam. You can expand the listed damns or click on a pin to find out more about the dams. Pink shading indicates areas that could be flooded in the unlikely event of a dam failure. Development of these inundation areas is required by state dam safety regulations to aid in emergency action planning.
