Behavior, Risk Perception and Misinformation Monitoring Tool Dataset

This dataset contains anonymized survey data from 2,114 adults collected in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine between October and December 2023 during active hostilities. Data were collected by the Kharkiv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Kharkiv RCDCP) using the Behaviour, Risk Perception and Disinformation Monitoring Tool — a validated instrument based on WHO Europe's Behavioural Insights Tool. Recruitment was conducted in person at RCDCP locations, on streets, and in community settings. Internally displaced persons (IDPs) were contacted by telephone and completed the questionnaire digitally or with interviewer assistance. The sample includes both current Kharkiv region residents and IDPs who had relocated since February 2022. The final sample had a median age of 47.0 years (IQR 38.0–55.0) and was 80.2% female. The dataset is exploratory in nature; no formal sample size calculation was performed. All data were collected in secure locations following wartime safety protocols.
