The relationship of trait mindfulness and perceived ostracism among adolescents: The chain mediating role of experiencing meaning in life and self-esteem

A total of 808 questionnaires were distributed. The total number of valid questionnaires with completed questionnaires and correct lie-detection questions was 607, including 263 males (43.3%) and 344 females (56.7%). The participants were aged between 13 and 19 years old, with an average age of 15.49 years old (SD=0.679). A total of 607 middle school students (males: 43%; Mage=15.49, SD=0.68) completed the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), Meaning in Life Questionnaire (C-MLQ), Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) and Ostracism Experience Scale for Adolescents (OES-A).
