Incubation calls and playback data of female superb fairy-wrens recorded at Newland Head Conservation Park and Cleland Wildlife Park (South Australia) between 2007 and 2013

Playback and observational data recorded as part of research designed to test whether female fairy-wrens increased incubation call rate when cuckoo song was experimentally broadcast near the nest.<br><br>Incubation calls of female superb superb fairy-wrens were recorded in-nest at 17 nests for two hours during incubation (on day 10-11) and two hours during chick begging (on day 4-6 post-hatching).<br><br>Calls were recorded as described in Colombelli-Négrel et al. (2012) prior to 2012, and using a Zoom Handy Recorder H4n in 2012-2013.
