Multi-year dataset of flower visitors and reproductive output of Big Pine partridge pea.
收藏资源简介:
Arthropod species were observed at flowers of Big Pine partridge pea (Chamaecrista lineata var. keyensis; Fabaceae), a federally endangered perennial herb, extant only on pine rockland in Big Pine Key, FL. We compared the composition of flower visitors before (2001) after (2015-2019) orchid bees (Euglossa dilemma; Apidae) to the island. Similarly, reproductive output in partridge pea was compared before and after invasion for the same series of years. "Before invasion" data were originally collected and published in (Liu and Koptur, 2003; DOI: 10.3732/ajb.90.8.1180). Sites were distributed across urban and forested sites on pine rockland in Big Pine Key, FL. Hurricane Irma, a category four hurricane, crossed the island after our seasonal sampling was completed in 2017.
