A Strategy for Reducing Herbicide Pollution in Australia

This project will address the identified oversight by engaging with and educating the community about practical methods that reduce/eliminate herbicide pollution, and share the learning via public release of a digital policy guideline document. In 2011-2012 Australia applied more than $1.4 billion worth of herbicides to the Australian environment. The use of these herbicides is carefully regulated and controlled because they represent an environmental hazard and/or are hazardous to humans. Risks and dangers, once identified, should be reduced or eliminated if practicable.
