The Volcanic Eruption Dataset was constructed by a research team from the Department of Engineering, Sanno University, to evaluate the performance of novel data segmentation methods in volcanic eruption prediction tasks. This dataset includes Landsat-7 and Sentinel-2 satellite images from 1999 to 2019, covering an area of 56.25 square kilometers. The dataset creation process involves resampling the original images and combining images of different bands to highlight the characteristics of volcanic eruptions. It is mainly applied to the training of machine learning models in Earth observation tasks, aiming to improve the accuracy of volcanic eruption predictions.
