Topics include: problems facing Australia which respondent is concerned about; extension of Parliamentary term from 3 to 4 years; fixed term elections; preferred Leader of the Opposition, Mr Howard or Mr Peacock; issues which influenced voting in the March 5 Federal election; and vote in that election. Background variables include: age; sex; marital status; level of education; country of birth; household composition (number of persons in households, number of children under age 5, age 5-12 years, age 13-17 years, age of youngest person, and number of employed persons); whether moved in the last two years; voting enrolment; occupation of self and head of household; personal gross income; tenure; telephone ownership; activities participate or take interest in; and, for women, whether responsible for shopping; whether employed; and estimated weekly household expenditure on food and groceries.
