资源简介:

· Essential oils from oregano and laurel are known for antimicrobial activity, supporting interest in their use against mastitis bacteria in cattle, which increasingly show resistance to many antibiotics. · Oil composition was analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, and antibacterial activity was evaluated in vitro against mastitis isolates, including strains producing enzymes that deactivate β-lactam antibiotics. · Oregano oil contained terpinen-4-ol and δ-terpinene, while laurel oil was rich in methyleugenol and eucalyptol; both showed strong activity with large inhibition zones and low inhibitory concentrations. · The results indicate these oils are promising natural alternatives for controlling resistant mastitis pathogens.
