BANZAI72: Biogeochemical ANd microbial characteriZAtIon with 72 hours high vertical resolution sampling

This project involves biogeochemical and microbial observations conducted at the Kuroshio Extension Observatory (KEO) site (32.5°N, 144.5°E) during the MR24-01C cruise of the research vessel Mirai (R/V Mirai). Seawater samples were collected at 12 different depths (from 10 m to 300 m) every 3 hours for a continuous period of 72 hours, from 18:00 on February 21 to 18:00 on February 24, 2024.
