<div><span>This feature service displays all of the ANCSA 17(b) easements that have been ground-truthed with GPS by the USFWS, Alaska Region, Division of Realty. These easements provide public access across privately-owned Alaska native corporation land to public lands and waters. Easement users must stay within the bounds of the easements to avoid trespassing on private land.</span></div><div><span><br /></span></div><div><span>The easement locations presented here were obtained by USFWS Alaska Region Division of Realty personnel, using GPS on the ground while either walking or using ATVs or snowmobiles. A Trimble GeoXH with an accuracy of around 1 meter was used to collect the easement positions.</span></div><div><span><br /></span></div><div><span>As of March 2022, the easement positions presented here are considered preliminary, as they have not yet been officially vetted by the Bureau of Land Management, Alaska Region.<br /></span></div>
