Ocean eddy Recognition and tracking dataset based on satellite altimeter(V3.0)
收藏资源简介:
We provide a mesoscale vortex recognition and tracking data set (1993.1-2020.12) based on SLA (sea level height anomaly) data recognition. The sea level height data comes from the all sat merged product (sealevel_glo_phy_l4_my_008_047) of Copernicus marine service (duacs dt2018). The mesoscale vortex identification and tracking methods used in this data set are the mesoscale vortex identification method based on parallel computing of satellite altimeter and the improved automatic algorithm of global vortex tracking based on satellite altimeter data [1]. [1]Tian, F., D. Wu, L. Yuan, & G. Chen, Impacts of the efficiencies of identification and tracking algorithms on the statistical properties of global mesoscale eddies using merged altimeter data. International Journal of Remote Sensing, 41(8), 2835-2860,2020. All data is stored in JSON format. In order to prevent the file from being too large, the identification and tracking data sets are stored in the identification and tracking directory on an annual basis. The daily identification data is stored in the corresponding annual file directory according to the year; According to the time of the last day of each track, the tracking data is stored in the corresponding annual file directory. This version of the dataset pair v2 The data set of version 0 is optimized. In order to reduce the deformation, the projection mode of the data set has been changed from gaur projection to spherical projection.
