Contemporary Batik Motif Design: Preserving Lasem's Cultural Heritage while Integrating Cultural Insights and Artisan Collaboration

The dataset for this study combines qualitative, visual, and process-based materials generated through a year-long collaborative design program with artisans from the Pesona Canting community in Lasem, Central Java. The data captures both the cultural foundations of Lasem Batik and the iterative development of contemporary motifs created through Design Thinking and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) activities.
