The MineNetCD dataset, created by institutions including the Technical University of Munich, is a comprehensive benchmark dataset for global mining area change detection. It contains over 70,000 pairs of bi-temporal high-resolution remote sensing images, covering 100 mining areas worldwide with a total area of approximately 6,756.88 square kilometers. The dataset was developed using a combination of semi-automatic annotation and expert manual annotation to ensure its fine granularity and accuracy. The MineNetCD dataset is primarily applied to mining area environmental monitoring and sustainable development research, aiming to facilitate sustainable management and environmental protection of mining areas through high-precision change detection technologies.
