O K edge RIXS-MCD of epsilon-Fe2O3

Epsilon iron oxide is a magnetoelectric material of interest. RIXS-MCD maps of the Fe L edge above and below the characteristic transition reveal minimal differences in the Fe electronic structure suggesting that the changes in local Fe environment measured via Mossbauer spectroscopy are localized on the O ions. Here we propose to measure RIXS-MCD maps of the O K-edge to complement the Fe L edge data.
