Decoding of genomes of Ciona intestinalis typeB collected from Plymouth and Roscoff. Ciona intestinalis

Ciona intestinalis has been used for studies of developmental genomics and evolutionary genomics. There are two cryptic species of Ciona, type A and type B. Since we have already decoded the genome of type A, this study was challenged to decode type B from two different regions. By comparing genomes of the two types, we wish to explore the genomic modification during the Ciona evolution.
