Replication Data for Defining, Measuring, and Addressing Energy Poverty: A Canadian Framework

This dataset was created as part of the Defining, Measuring, and Addressing Energy Poverty: A Canadian Framework project. A review and analysis of energy-related initiatives that address energy poverty in British Columbia (BC) was conducted. The dataset contains 114 energy-related initiatives from 1989 to 2023. Public listings, databases, and websites maintained by various actors—including government bodies, utilities, non-profits, charities, financial institutions, and others—were examined to identify these initiatives. The initiatives are categorized by focus area, typology, beneficiary, delivery agent, and scale.
