This dataset is intended for the long-term corrosion study of GH3535 alloy in molten salts. It includes 1000-hour long-term corrosion data collected at the lowest and highest temperature zones of a temperature-gradient corrosion loop for GH3535 alloy in FLiBe and FLiNaK molten salts, respectively. Based on multiple repeated corrosion evaluations under different conditions, it was determined that material corrosion correlates with the types and contents of impurities present in the molten salt, and the corrosion regularity of GH3535 alloy in fluoride molten salts was elucidated: during the initial corrosion stage, impurities in the molten salt induce rapid corrosion of the material; as the corrosion reaction progresses, impurities are gradually consumed, the corrosion rate of the alloy slows, and the corrosion depth stabilizes at a constant value. Further studies confirmed that after 200 hours of corrosion in fluoride molten salts meeting reactor service requirements, the corrosion depth of GH3535 alloy tends to stabilize. Accordingly, long-term corrosion evaluations were carried out based on this regularity, with the distribution of various elements on the surface and cross-section of GH3535 alloy investigated, to determine the corrosion morphology, corrosion depth, and corrosion regularity of GH3535 alloy in fluoride molten salts (FLiBe and FLiNaK). Through these corrosion evaluations, it was verified that GH3535, a nickel-based alloy for molten salt reactors, possesses excellent corrosion resistance in fluoride molten salts that meet reactor service requirements.
