Depicted below are the velocities of individual acentrics as they segregate during anaphase. Velocity is measured in nanometers per second. Segregation velocity is defined as beginning when an acentric is clearly observed as separated from its sister and ends when the acentric reaches the daughter nucleus. Asterisks indicate statistical significance (*P = 0.006) as determined by a two-sided Mann-Whitney test.
