Isolation of new giant virus infecting Vermamoeba and its characterization

We have isolated a new giant virus strain from Japanese ushiku-numa fresh water pond, which infects to Vermamoeba vermiformis. This virus is closely related to previously reported Clandestinovirus. In this project, we have studied this new virus's morphological, genomic, and infectious features.
