Pilot study 4 - Environmental data of aquaculture.

The aim of pilot study 4 is to develop methods within the framework of three modules that allow an expansion of the data base in the field of aquaculture. In the first module, a method for recording the ecosystem services of aquaculture in Austria was developed. Here, potential ecosystem services were presented separately for the two plant types pond system and flow system and potential additional services of a recirculation system. The second module focused on the experimental approach ‘AquaOtter’ (carried out at BOKU), which investigated the predation pressure of otters. The third module dealt with the disclosure of barriers and potentials of increasing production, as well as the survey of drug use and mortality levels through interviews and surveys.
