This dataset includes all data used to support the preprint "Magnetically Assisted Trapping of Passive Colloids by Active Dipolar Chains" (arxiv:2509.13770). BD_Code.zip C++ code used to perform Brownian dynamics simulations of the active-passive mixture systems. More details are provided in the README.txt file in the zip. RawData.zip All output obtained from the brownian dynamics simulations ran with BD_Code that were used for the preprint. CaptureDiagram_NoField.txt Results obtained from the simulations about the capture rate of passive particles by active dipoles without external magnetic field, used for Fig. 3. CaptureDiagram_ConstantDurationField.txt Results obtained from the simulations about the capture rate of passive particles by active dipoles with an external magnetic field applied for a constant duration, used for Fig. 4. CaptureDiagram_VaryingDurationField.txt Results obtained from the simulations about the capture rate of passive particles by active dipoles with an external magnetic field applied for a duration proportional to the inverse of the activity Pe, used for Fig. 6. CaptureRateRatio.txt Results obtained from the simulations about the capture rate of passive particles by active dipoles with an external magnetic field applied for a duration proportional to the inverse of the activity Pe, with the ratio between the dipolar interactions scale λ and the activity Pe, used for Fig. 8.
