Allium grayi Regel polyploid

Allium grayi Regel is a seasonally limited small perennial herb of the subfamily Allioideae, and is endemic to Matsu,Taiwan. This whole plants of Allium grayi Regel holds nutritious, ornamental value, and biological pharmacological activity. Since its bulb size ranges from 1 to1.5 cm, this study evaluated for the first time to induce polyploidy using the bulbs of Allium grayi Regel as explants in vitro, with the expectation of increasing the bulb size.
