RNA Expression Profile in Patients with Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 3
收藏资源简介:
lncRNAs play an important role in growth, development, and reproduction, undoubtedly contributing to pathogenesis and progression of diseases. Emerging evidence suggest the involvement of the lncRNAs as a regulatory factors in pathological conditions, including some neurodegenerative diseases.Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 3/Machado-Joseph Disease (SCA3/MJD) has a prominent prevalence in China. Considering that the role of lncRNAs in the pathogenesis of the SCA3/MJD has not yet been investigated, as a pilot study, we investigated the expression profile of lncRNAs by high-throughput sequencing from 12 patients and 12 healthy individuals. The sequencing results showed 5540 of the known and 2,759 of the novel lncRNAs. 6 lncRNAs were confirmed to be differentially expressed in PBMCs between the SCA3/MJD patients vs. healthy individuals.
