Chinese Social Survey

中国社会状况综合调查（CSS）是中国社会科学院社会学研究所于2005年发起的一项全国性大型连续性抽样调查数据库。该数据库通过双年度纵贯调查，收集全国公众在劳动就业、家庭生活、社会态度等方面的数据，旨在记录中国社会转型期的变迁。其调查结果可推论全国成年住户人口，为社会科学研究和公共政策提供基础数据支持。

China General Social Survey (CSS) is a national large-scale longitudinal sampling survey database initiated by the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2005. This database collects data on labor employment, family life, social attitudes and other dimensions of the Chinese general public through biennial longitudinal surveys, with the aim of documenting the transformations during China's social transition period. Its survey findings can be generalized to the national adult household population, providing foundational data support for social science research and public policy.
