We used single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to compare the specificity of Cre-loxP and CRISPR interference (CRISPRi) systems. We marked all cells targeted by Dmp1-Cre with a fluorescent reporter. Next, we examined within which Dmp1-Cre targeted cell populations Dmp1-driven CRISPRi decreases target gene expression using scRNA-seq.
