OD-matrices of daily regular movements in Estonia

Database of OD-matrices of daily regular movements in Estonia is calculated based on mobile positioning data. The resulted high-quality database of daily mobility covers whole Estonia. This database is an important alternative data input for spatial planning decision-making process to answer questions related to transport and mobility. The methodological framework of dataset is developed and implemented by the Mobility Lab of University of Tartu. Database is compatible with other mobility datasets developed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, Statistics Estonia, etc. Database is currently calculated for the period January 2016 to March 2018 and for every month separately. The spatial granularity of the database is on the level of territorial communities. Completed datasets are in machine readable format (*.csv) and available directly from the Mobility Lab’s web service.
