Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is one of the most prevalent types of lung cancer and is characterized by high morbidity and mortality. Hypoxia is considered a common and prominent characteristic of LUAD, interacting with various cellular processes to promote tumor proliferation and metastasis. However, how tumors adapt to the hypoxic TME and the mechanisms underlying hypoxia-induced immune tolerance in cancer remain unclear. Therefore, gaining a comprehensive understanding of hypoxia in LUAD is essential for enhancing our understanding of its influence on tumorigenesis and treatment.
