Long-read-based reference genome of Tropaeolum tuberosum

This study describes the generation of raw sequencing data and a de novo reference genome assembly for the tuber crop Tropaeolum tuberosum. PacBio HiFi reads were produced and used to assemble the genome intended as a genomic resource for future studies on genome evolution, domestication, and functional genomics in this species. The data are provided to support reproducibility and downstream comparative and population-level analyses.
