Pan-European maps and models of current and future tree species distributions and their growth potential

The dataset contains site index models (SIM) and SIM predictions for 25 European tree species, as well as species distribution model (SDM) and predictions for 30 tree species. The predictions were made for the reference period (1981-2010) and the future (2011-2040, 2041-2070 and 2071-2100) under climate change scenarios (RCP4.5 and RCP8.5). This dataset was created and within the EVA project (Evidence based tree species recommendations under climate change, 2021 to 2024) funded by the forest climate fond (Waldklimafond) and the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft).
