SymMap整合了499个药，1717个中医症状，961个西医症状，19595种中药成分，4302个基因靶标，及5235种疾病的信息，并通过数据库搜索和统计推断为两两之间的关系进行打分，得到的异构知识网络，从药物物质基础、外在临床表型、内在分子机制三方面对中西医两大体系进行了全面对接。SymMap既能助力中医药知识的国际化传播，又能为现代药物发现提供支持。

SymMap is a heterogeneous knowledge network that integrates data on 499 drugs, 1,717 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) symptoms, 961 Western medical symptoms, 19,595 TCM herbal ingredients, 4,302 gene targets, and 5,235 diseases. It assigns scores to pairwise relationships among these entities via database searches and statistical inference. This resource comprehensively bridges the two major medical systems of Traditional Chinese and Western medicine from three perspectives: the material basis of medications, external clinical phenotypes, and internal molecular mechanisms. Furthermore, SymMap not only facilitates the international dissemination of TCM-related knowledge but also provides support for modern drug discovery.
