In this study, we systematically investigated the receptive field properties and functional organization of the entopallium (ENTO) by recording the activity of 558 neurons in anesthetized pigeons. We demonstrate that ENTO neurons exhibit significant encoding capabilities for color, shape, and motion, with distinct spatial clustering of functional properties.
