按原住民民族別認定辦法（下稱本辦法）第9條第3項規定：「行政院依第二條規定核定新民族別時，已註記民族別之成年人得依個人意願申請變更為該民族別，從其民族別之子女，應隨同變更。」上開條文規定所稱「已註記民族別」係指該新民族別之「原屬民族別」，例如：原註記為阿美族，變更為撒奇萊雅族，即屬適例。此資料集內容列出核定之「新民族別」及其對應的「原屬民族別」對照表。Pursuant to Paragraph 3, Article 9 of the Regulations on the Recognition of Indigenous Ethnic Groups (hereinafter referred to as "these Regulations"): "When the Executive Yuan approves a new ethnic group pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, adults who have already registered their ethnic group may apply to change their registered ethnic group to the newly approved one at their own discretion, and their children whose ethnic group is registered under the parent's original one shall be changed accordingly." As referred to in the above provisions, the term "already registered ethnic group" refers to the "original ethnic group" corresponding to the newly approved ethnic group. For example, changing the originally registered ethnic group from Amis to Sakizaya is a typical case. This dataset provides a reference table listing the approved "new ethnic groups" and their corresponding "original ethnic groups".
