CASA CQUEST Viewer Query and Evaluation Support Tools for Carbon Accounting

The CASA CQUEST Viewer (Query and Evaluation Support Tools for Carbon Accounting) provides access to geographic data from NASA Ames Research Center, Ecosystem Science and Technology Branch for carbon sequestration predictions throughout the United States. This Viewer application allows users to display CASA CQUEST data interactively as a map, customize the view, print image files, obtain data values in tabular format and download clipped shape files. Map tools allow users to navigate around an image, zoom in and out, identify features, and perform other advanced query functions. CASA CQUEST map layers include: Baseline Carbon Model Predictions Climate Scenario CO2 Fluxes Carbon Land Cover Change Predictions Land Use Effects on Carbon Political Features (states, counties, cities, highways, etc) Physical Features (hydrology, ecoregions, etc) Land Cover Data Soil Data Climate Data Information Guides are offered for each of the data sets provided in the CQUEST application. They describe the nature of the data set and the (potential) uses of the data set for carbon management, as well as links to companion data sets, references, and credits for the data set. Many of these data sets are derived from the NASA-CASA Biosphere Model. Other sources are described in the CQUEST metadata [http://sgeaims.arc.nasa.gov/website/cquest/meta1.html]. In the near future, more data and map server capabilities will be added for enhanced research and decision support.
