RNA-seq of potato tuber development in 'Qingshu 9'

This study presents a comprehensive transcriptome analysis of potato (Solanum tuberosum L. cv. 'Qingshu 9') across tuber development stages. We performed RNA-seq from the four tuberization stages (stolon hooking, sub-apical enlargement, early tuberization and tuberization) as well as from green tender leaves sprouting at the stolons tips using the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform. The primary objective was to generate a high-resolution gene expression atlas to understand the genetic basis of tuberization. This dataset serves as a fundamental resource for gene discovery and characterization in potato.
