Garden herb phyllosphere Targeted Locus (Loci). phyllosphere metagenome

The goal of this research was to sample the bacterial community, both epiphytes and endophytes, of common garden herbs from the conditions of their purchase by the consumer (i.e. after transport and refrigeration). These herbs are often consumed raw and previous studies have focused on sampling at the time of harvest, rather than the time of consumption, which may be more relevant from a health perspective.
