Detection of sperm allelic ratio distortion by WGS

We sequenced the genomes of 3 boars using both their blood (diploid) and sperm (haploid) to identify allelic ratio distortion (ARD; a departure of the expected Mendelian allelic ratio of 05 : 0.5) in the haploid cells, which would indicate differences on the allelic performance on the haploid phases of spermatogenesis. This sperm ARD could contribute a portion of the Transmission Ratio Distortion observed on the allelic transmission from parents to offspring.
