The purpose of the survey is to describe and analyse electoral behaviour in connection with the referendum on the extension of the franchise on 19 September, 1978, a lowering of the electoral age from 20 to 18. #Traditional background variables such as sex, age, education, occupation, etc. are used together with political variables such as party preference, political interest, and attitudes to the various arguments for and against extending the franchise to 18-year-olds in Denmark
