Habitat type and soil organic matter drive earthworm density across an elevational gradient in the Central Himalayas

This dataset contains the population density data of earthworms from a field survey across an elevational gradient of approximately 100 m to 4000 m above sea level in central Nepal. A total of 180 plots were surveyed in 2023 and earthworms were observed from 102 of them. Soil samples collected from the earthworm present plots analyzed in the lab for chemical properties. The dataset contains 10 columns and 103 rows.
