The goal of this study was to provide a baseline of the metagenome (specifically the resistome) of beef and dairy production effluents (i.e., pre-composted manure, soil and wastewater). 34 samples of these types were collected from organic and conventional dairies, US and Canadian feedlots, and a pasture-based ranch.
